South Wimbledon Station

In 2018/2019 Rail Asset Development were engaged by Clarion housing association to provide advice on the feasibility of a number of options for developing South Wimbledon Station and the surrounding High Path Estate redevelopment, which is planned to lead to 2500 new homes over the next 10 years.

Using our experience of London Underground works we were able to guide the professional team indicating constraints and opportunities early in the design process. This saved Clarion both time and money that might otherwise have been spent developing uneconomic or disruptive proposals.

As part of the work, an opportunity for circa 75 units of housing to be developed on the LU station footprint were developed leading to a potential joint venture arrangement between Clarion and LUL.
