Soho Loop

Rail Asset Development provided rail interface support and undertook the CEM role for the Soho Loop development between the canal and hospital in Birmingham. This site comprised 650 apartments, 102 houses plus commercial space.

The works required access to NR land and RAD assisted with making the arrangements with the NR Property team as well as our usual scope of preparing Forms B and C (or Forms 001 to 003 as they were then), RAMS and other submissions as needed where works had the potential to impact the railway.

Helped by excellent relationships with the local NR ASPRO team, we were often able to secure first time approvals, assisting Galliard as they sought to achieve an accelerated programme for site delivery.
