Bourne End

RAD were asked to help this unusual outside party scheme to redevelop and form a vertical extension to an office building right on the platform at Bourne End station.

As part of the conversion to residential, a scaffold needed to be erected right on the station platform, close to the station signal and wrapping around the platform lighting. In addition, the train driver’s walking route and the public platform run alongside the scaffold area.

RAD led discussions with Network Rail and the GWR, the train and station operator, to secure permission for the work and to complete all required design and RAMS submissions.
